Bulgaria can profit from the increasing world tendency towards consumption of healthy and organic food, the new economic strategy reads. Bulgarian products may find markets outside the EU and also foreign cultures that are not native for the country can be introduced to be exported to unfamiliar trade destinations.

Another advantage Bulgaria avails of is the lower production costs compared to the other EU countries. The country can also look towards the increasing number of clients interested in fast food of high quality, the strategy also reads. The food supply sector is a promising area as over 70% of the total European export is formed by food products, beverages and tobacco.

One of them main targets envisaged in the strategy is the attraction of large international companies from Europe, Asia and the Americas.
