Austria: "BioSchatzkistl" - Organic door to door

For almost a month now a company in Burgenland, Austria have been carrying out door to door organic deliveries. The new venture entitled "BioSchatzkistl" puts together boxes of fresh organic food products and brings them right to your door.

The boxes can be purchased in three different sizes and are full of seasonal organic fruit and vegetables. The idea came from father and daughter duo Kurt and Julia Morawitz who are originally from Burgenland’s Neusiedl am See.

According to Kurt, the organic delivery concept has received a very positive response since it began at the start of the year and as such hopes to expand its product range even further. They have already added freshly baked bread, wine, juice and eggs to their menu, all of which can be delivered directly to your home.

In future the company will aim to provide meat and cheese in addition to the fruit and vegetables, all of which will come from local organic farmers.

The products can be ordered via email or over the phone and cost between 15 Euros and 23 Euros per box.
